ABOUT
Stumbling upon a downed Hickory Tree while hiking on my family’s land sparked my passion for woodworking. Throughout my life I have always been interested in building projects or learning how stuff worked. Looking back, picking up woodworking seemed like a natural progression in my life.
We have all heard the idiom,“They don’t make them like they used to.” Globalization created many upsides and downsides. Products became cheaper for the US consumer. These products sacrificed quality for an affordable price point. The race to the bottom completely stripped away the idea of craftsmanship. Fortunately, we see a resurgence in local craftsmanship and artisanry. Cincinnati, among other cities, experienced a boom in craft breweries and distilleries. Butcher shops have become once again a commonplace for consumers. Local farmers markets are popular as ever. I realize that not every person is interested in hand crafted furniture, but many people appreciate items that are not cookie cutter that fall apart after six months. My vision is to build quality hand crafted furniture that will last generations to come.
